our project management team, you will meet a team of project managers and
experts who are responsible for the planning and realization of all office and
production properties of Siemens in Asia.
As
internal service provider, we have a holistic responsibility over costs,
timelines, quality, organization, and safety, from the first feasibility study
until the handover to end users and beyond till the end of the warranty.
What role will
you play?
- Leads and
motivates the team and is responsible for achieving the projects goals and
customers’ expectations.
- Looking ahead, anticipating
issues, and having solutions as they arise is key to assuring customer that the
PM is in full control of the project.
- Ensures transparency
and keeps project moving forward smoothly. Informs all stakeholders of
decisions and/or that need to take place for the project to stay on time and
budget.
- Prepares
transparent and holistic information to enable customer to make decisions
considering all aspects and consequences.
- Interacts with Design Manager,
Working Environment Design Manager and Cost Manager right from scope definition
phase, continuously throughout the project.
- Ensures that the
PM@SRE methodology is applied and there is compliance with all applicable
guidelines, processes and SRE standards, etc. and organizes, which PM@SRE
processes will be implemented.
- TEAM BUILDING
- Establishes
roles and responsibilities for all the team members.
- Empower the team to identify and solve problems
and giving them required support, create a team spirit of positive motivation
and an emotional bonding of team members by removing barriers and providing the
resources to achieve project goals.
- CUSTOMER FOCUS
- Understands
Customer needs and handles Customer related issues in a timely and
cost-effective manner.
- Addresses
Customer’s issues, requests, questions and clarifying in a timely manner.
- CONTRACTS / CHANGE & RISK MANAGEMENT
- Ensures
formulation of contracts as per project requirements.
- Ensures that the
team also knows the contract and rely on it during project execution and negotiations.
- Participate in
Vendor Evaluations and Contract negotiations.
- Nominates
Architects, Consultants and Contractors
- CHANGE MANAGEMANT
- Responsible for
costs, time, and quality.
- Ensures that
change requests are provided in written form with clear requirements by
Customer.
- Coordinate team
to implement design changes and time impact of design changes. Obtain release
of design changes acknowledgement of impact by Customer.
- RISK MANAGEMENT
- The PM needs to
identify any potential risk based on experience and experience of others.
- Conducts with
team regular risk review meetings to identify risks and have contingency plans
in place in the event of a risk occurring. This the job of the entire project
team to identify risks.
- EHS
- PM shall not
only delegate EHS responsibility to internal or external supervisors but shall
also “Lead by example” and take full responsibility for EHS to ensure Zero
accidents.
- Ensure adherence
to EHS processes conduct site walkdowns.
OTHERS:
- Should be well
versed with MS Projects, Sustainability standards, Digital platforms like BIM.
- Well aware of latest
technology developments in Construction, Industry cost benchmarks for
Industrial and commercial projects.
