A Day in the LifeWe are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our Global IT Connected Care team. We drive software application design, development, deployment, and support for internal stakeholders and external users. As a SR IT Technologist-Test, you will own the end-to-end application software validation and testing process for the IT Connected Care Product Experience team. Responsibilities include defining the test strategy for applications, authoring/executing test scripts that fully challenge defined requirements and managing/tracking defects that come up in the testing process. This role owns the creation of quality test documents in a regulated industry (test plans, traceability matrices, test scripts/results, and reports). You will be responsible for working with project managers to provide work estimates and status updates and will be expected to work in collaboration with the development team through the development and validation process.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Develops, documents, and configures systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes.
• Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting hardware and software compliance and security standards.
• Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements and characteristics of overall system.
• Establishes and documents system design, parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems functionality, performance and compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of configurations, such as existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
• Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
• May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
• May act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions.
• Function Specific: Strategically design technology solutions that meets the needs and goals of the company and its customers/users.
• Leverages platform process expertise to assess if existing standard platform functionality will solve a business problem or customization solution would be required.
• Gather and prioritize integration requirements.
• Test the quality of a product and its ability to perform a task or solve a problems.
• Perform basic maintenance and performance optimization procedures in each of the primary operating systems.
• Technology: Using computational thinking to define technological solutions to real life problems.
• Design technology that allows for the optimal user experience and broad accessibility.
• Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business system requirements.
• Demonstrate experience in Mobile Application Software Quality Assurance with solid understanding of system validation and lifecycle design.
• Define a test strategy based on mobile application requirements, may include manual or automation, include API Integration testing, functional, performance, user acceptance, and regression testing.
• Interpret system requirements into test cases that include positive and negative test scripts.
• Provide estimates for test effort
• Create and execute test plans/scripts/scenarios
• Work in agile methodology
• Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and system/application function.
• Author quality documents in a regulated industry.
• Document user test scripts to cover end-to-end user requirements (UAT)
• Log test results and collect test evidence.
• Log, disposition, and manage defects.
• Work with tools such as Polarion, HP ALM, Postman, Jira,
• Use automated test tools for smoke and regression testing such as Selenium, XCode, Android Studio, etc
• Facilitate testing meetings, summarize results, issue/defect reporting, maintain metrics and provide go/no go recommendation. 
• Generate test data for short- and long-term application needs.

Qualification:

• Bachelors of Engineering and 8+ years of experience

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with Agile Methodology in a QA Role
• Experience with API testing Using Postman or Soap UI
• Experience Using Polarion and ALM for test Management.
• Strong demonstrated ability to work directly with technical leads and other engineers
• Strong UI/UX experience
• Mobile Apps Testing Experience
• Aware of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Automation
• Experience with GIT and other version control tools.
• Experience with SDET, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium for Mobile testing
• Extensive SQL scripting background
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Strong collaboration skills
• Background in healthcare
• Design/development of automated test cases
• Generating and maintaining automated testing plan.
• Develop, run, and maintain suite(s) of automation tests
• Ability to analyze results of automated regression suites and distill those results into bug tickets as needed
• Demonstrate a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering quality paradigms and patterns
• Automation tech script writing experience
