We seek a skilled and experienced SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will deeply understand the SAP SD module, including its configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules. This profile will play a crucial role in analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing SAP SD solutions, and providing ongoing support to ensure smooth operation. This profile will be supporting our SAP Document and Reporting Compliance interfaces primarily within SD while also assisting in the SAP MM document compliance space.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Business Process Analysis: Conduct a detailed analysis of current business processes, identify gaps, and propose effective solutions to optimize sales and distribution functions.
- Integration: Work collaboratively with other SAP modules and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow across the organization.
- SAP System Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing SAP systems, ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. Quickly address and resolve incidents and problem management, meet SLAs, and provide rotational on-call coverage.
- Design and build new value-added solutions:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements
- Creating functional specification/user stories
- Requirements Management & Communications
- Solution Assessment & Validation
- Creating testing strategies
- Lead the implementation and configuration - Provide functional direction in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment, maintenance for bug fixes and enhancements related to SAP Document and Reporting Compliance to meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment between SAP initiatives and business objectives. Foster and maintain strong relationships to facilitate effective collaboration and communication.
- Change Management: User Training and Support - Provide end-users comprehensive training and ongoing support to address any issues or challenges. Collaborate closely with the Change and Release Management team to ensure seamless representation and coordination of projects throughout the change and release process.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful completion of project deliverables/milestones.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, customizations, and process flows for future reference and continuous improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree, Business, or a related field. SAP certification is a plus.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience with SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) and a good understanding of e-invoicing. This person will play a key role in configuring, designing customizations, and implementing new country legislation and compliance requirements in the SD module while also assisting the SAP MM document compliance space. The candidate must also provide ongoing support and implementing enhancements to existing e-invoicing implementations.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 year’s configuration and Document Compliance experience in the SAP SD space; SAP MM experience a plus.
- Ability to interpret government tax authority technical requirements and understand how it would be supported in SAP.
- Knowledge of SD business processes such as Contracts, Sales Order, Billing, Credit/Debit Memo Processing. Knowledge of SAP S4 Sales and Order Fulfillment.
- Familiarity with MM business processes and configurations such as purchase orders, goods receipts, invoice.
- Experience with global implementations.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Fluent in English; Spanish a plus.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
