We are looking for a people champion and change agent to serve as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) consultant to all levels of the organization on people-related issues, with a primary focus on our Bangalore, India office and Engineering organization. The successful HRBP will build strong partnerships with leaders to anticipate and assess the needs of team members and managers, collaborating within the People team and across functions to develop integrated solutions and deliver value-added services that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This role will also partner with our recruiting team to support the hiring of top talent while working together to ensure an exceptional onboarding experience and new hire effectiveness.


What the role will involve:
  • Acting as a strategic People partner and primary point of contact for leaders and team members and managers in India and other designated regions
  • Utilizing a deep understanding of business needs and strategy to recommend value-added People initiatives and programs with global perspective and with knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity to cultural and legal differences across geographies
  • Defining and executing standard operating procedures within the employment lifecycle, including compensation, equity, incentives, learning, mobility, talent management, benefits and payroll
  • Using knowledge of the local employment market and industry to proactively source and engage top-tier Engineering and Product talent, using innovative strategies and leveraging networks to build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future needs
  • Assisting managers with development, implementation and evaluation of behavioral guidelines and key performance indicators that align with organizational values and support achievement of established goals
  • Fostering culture efforts as part of a team member experience strategy through check-ins, surveys, meetings, and organizational activities
  • Identifying, facilitating and creating resource materials and other developmental training for team members and managers based on ongoing needs assessments
  • Serving as a SME on People-related systems, processes and data, providing team members and managers with training, best practice and reporting resources as needed
  • Leading the local People team initiatives, mentoring and managing
  • Executing team member onboarding and offboarding activities, including pre-employment screening checks, systems setup and benefits enrollment support
  • Interpreting, providing guidance on, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Able to work independently, using good judgment
  • Solutions-oriented and able to deliver effective results within tight deadlines
  • Works in an organized manner and pays attention to detail
  • Absorbs information from multiple sources quickly and can incorporate into value-added recommendations
Nice to have:
  • 4+ years of experience in start-up and/or fully remote company preferred
  • Experience supporting a global team highly preferred
