Role Overview: 


Looking for an experienced professional to  be a key Individual Contributor for Otis shared service center supporting global operations. The Senior  Assistant will deliver performance that meets or exceeds the Service Level Agreement in terms of quality and efficiency; serves as a point of escalation for issues and drives issues to resolution; generates ideas for and participates in process improvement opportunities. He is expected to well versed in Accounting policies and concepts. You will report to the Supervisor  who will provide you with access to mentorship, training growth and development opportunities across our highly resilient world changing business. 


On a typical day you will: 


§ Enable accurate accounting of R2R Journals, Perform Reconciliation, timely resolution and escalation of open items. Ensure  transactions are analyzed deeply and closed with highest level of quality and Accounted accurately and timely ensuring compliance, approval verification and quality control review.


§ Standardize processes to achieve and exceed stated objectives.


§ Timely monitor and manage reporting of all performance indicators  specific to his/her team.


§ Facilitate timely issue resolution, including escalation in accordance with governance structure. 


§ Work with other supervisors & Analysts and teams to ensure that the center is meeting or exceeding performance levels.


§ Ensure the relevant  financial controls are operating as designed (SOX compliance).


§ Provide internal and external audit support, as required


§ Foster communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries


What You Will Need to be Successful: 


§ University Graduate/Post Graduate or MBA with a major in finance, business or accounting


§ Experience of 2 to 5 years in General Accounting with expertise in Record to Report accounting,    reporting financial systems


§ Experience in interacting with business operational customers and Controllers


§ Ability to manage a diverse group of skill sets in a delivery center environment


§ Strong communication skills (English required)


§ Ability to portray professionalism and confidence to customers via phone and e-mail


§ Strong organizational and time management skills


§ Ability to multi-task and handle large volume of work efficiently and accurately


§ Proficient at conveying the core philosophies of Otis


§ Demonstrate high ethical standards


§ Willing to work in shifts.
