Linux Cloud Engineer
Skills :
• Knowledge of Linux (RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu) including advanced troubleshooting on Cloud deployed
instances
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as ntp,smtp,bind, Apache,etc.
• Knowledge of server concepts and architectures.
• Knowledge of Linux server scripting (Shell/Perl) and automation technologies.
• Experience installing and configuring Redhat Satellite server and Nagios Monitoring Fusion and xi
server.
• Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS,etc.
• Experience with server consolidation / virtualization for HW reduction and site migrations via V2V and
P2VAbility to apply technical principles when performing troubleshooting.
• Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage concepts and architecture like 3PAR Technology
• Experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of components in a large
environment centered around best practices, to include vCenter, VMware Update Manager, vCenter
Operations Manager, vCenter Orchestrator, vCenter Cloud Automation Center, vCenter Site Recovery
Manager
• Install, configure and manage a highly available and scalable virtual and physical Linux infrastructure
• Provides proactive ticketing workflow and queue management to identify, flag, and drive positive
remediation of tasks not being executed within documented expectations.
• Maintains timely and high-quality status updates in all workflow systems, per KOP / SOP.
• Assists vendors with implementation of new servers, including bank-standard build and QA
processes.
• Create mechanisms that enable rapid recovery, repair and cleanup of faulty migrations with good
understanding of fault tolerance and failure domains
• Highly customer focused and interactive role, requiring the knowledge of all the products/services
being delivered, reflecting the strengths of the whole delivery.
Service Delivery Coverage: As per client time zone and contract/SOW requirements
Experience: Minimum of ~5 years in a role delivering one or more of the above mentioned aspects.
