Job Description:
The SAP MM Consultant will be part of highly motivated and passionate team within DXC. You will be responsible for the team that performs all system maintenance, project development, migration projects at DXC. Resource will be responsible for the team that performs all development tasks within SAP Projects at DXC all from idea, technical design, implementation, quality assurance, test, to cut-over support.
Support, implement, and strategize the design, development and implementation of customization and enhancements through the development, establishment, and implementation of projects with customization and enhancement in the areas Material Management (MM). Integrations to other SAP modules would be an added advantage (EWM, Asset Mgmt. Etc). SAP S/4 HANA knowledge is a must.
The SAP MM Consultant is motivated to take strong ownership on actions, to find innovative ways to improve the services’ agility and efficiency, and to continuously gain more skills.
Responsibilities
- Point of contact for SAP MM delivery and operations teams
- Team member to implement new functionalities and improve existing functionalities including requirement analysis and converting them into effective solutions.
- Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and conversion programs for MM functionalities.
- Experience in working with teams to prioritize work and drive system solutions based on business needs
- Work with developers and other SAP team to make sure that the developments and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
- Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.
- May be required to work on pre-defined shift plans and/or be on standby for operations support.
- Own Service and Incident Management and involve in change management process
- Drive automation in the SAP MM areas.
- Drive best practices within teams with respect to SAP Industry specific solutions.
- Identify customer needs and advise on DXC services & solutions.
- Identify and drive sales opportunities together with the account teams
- Interface with customers and own all deliverables for customers.
Knowledge Areas:
- Worked in SAP Implementation, AMS projects.
- Proficient in Configuration of MM Organization structure, master data Management, internal & external purchase documents, External Service management and Configuration for the release procedure for the same.
- Master Data: Material Master, Vendor Master, Service Master, Info Record, Source list, Quota arrangement.
- Procurement Cycle: Purchase Requisition, Request for Quotation, Contract, Purchase Order, Goods Receipt and Invoice Verification
- Pricing Procedure: Define condition type, calculation schema, Schema group for purchasing Organization and vendor.
- Special Procurement Types: Stock Transport order, Consignment order, Subcontracting order, Third party processing.
- Release Procedures for purchasing documents, Valuation and Account Determination.
- Experience in Enterprise Structure by defining and assigning Plants, Purchase Organizations, Storage Location and Purchase Groups.
- Configuring the Master Data like Material Master, Vendor Master, and Info Records, etc.
- Processing the LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) for uploading the data from non-Sap System to Sap.
- Configuring various procurement proposals like Purchase Requisitions, and Purchase Orders, RFQ.
- Configuring Out line Agreements (Contracts and Schedule Agreements)
- Configuring number ranges, Document Types & Release Strategy for Purchase Documents
- Handling issues related to Material master, Vendor Master, Contract agreement issues, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase orders, Info record, Pricing procedures, Message types, Goods receipt, Invoice receipt, Release Strategies and Workflow.
- Understanding of Special stock procurement Business process. Third party order, Sales order stock and Configuration for the same.
- Customizing pricing Determination procedure and Output determination procedure.
- Configuration of movement types in inventory management for a goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfer and transfer posting.
- Conversion of message from warning to error and vice versa.
- Proficient on MM Integration with other Modules.
- Proficient on IDoc (for intermediate document). Partner Profile Maintenance, Partner Type, Message Type, Process Code, Port etc.
- Providing training to end users for performing their day-to-day business activities.
Primary Skills and Qualifications
- Candidate should 6-7 years of Good SAP MM functional experience with 1 End-to-End Implementations in ECC and 1 in S/4 HANA.
- Experience in Business requirements gathering, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, testing, cut over, post-go live support.
- Knowledge in preparation of detail specifications for Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements and Forms development of custom programs
- Team player having experience in coordinating across Modules and with the technical team
- SAP Certification will be an added advantage
- Ability to learn and adapt to new frameworks/technologies and quickly integrate with them for automation of service delivery
- Learn and apply new concepts in information technology
- The candidate should be a Degree in BE/BTech/MSC/MBA/MCA with good academic records from premier institute. Good working knowledge on English (Oral and written)
