Job Title: SQL DBA Engineer

Location: Pune

Job Summary: The SQL DBA Engineer will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. This role requires a proactive approach to optimizing database performance, implementing backup and recovery strategies, and collaborating with development teams to support application requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Perform regular database backups and recovery operations.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet application requirements.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Develop and document database standards and best practices.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot database-related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest SQL Server features and best practices in database management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a SQL DBA.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and management.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedure development, and performance tuning.
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with database security concepts and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
• Certifications in SQL Server or related technologies.
