We are seeking a proficient Space Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This person is expected to be passionate about the way various components and independent subsystems can be put together to achieve final system/product goals. In this role, you will be expected to work on building Space systems and ground systems with space applications.
Ideal Candidate - Work experience in working in systems engineering of spacecrafts / launch vehicles / ground stations / ground-based optical or RF observatories.
Responsibilities:
Define, document, and manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Plan, configure and allocate requirements to subsystems, ensuring coherence and traceability throughout the design process.
Perform system-level trade-off studies to optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including specifications, interface control documents, and system design descriptions.
Conduct requirements analysis, verification, and validation activities to ensure compliance with customer needs and industry standards.
Develop risk mitigation plans and monitor their implementation.
Facilitate customer and stakeholder engagement to capture and understand their needs and expectations.Communicate technical concepts, requirements, and issues clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics or a relevant discipline.
2+ years of professional experience in Satellites or Space affiliated ground segments.
Understanding of all the critical subsystems and segments that make up a satellite mission
Experience in engineering project management, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, risk management and effective team collaboration.
Preferred Qualities:
Have design and realisation experience in a specific satellite subsystem and/or satellite AIT experience
Skilled in creating detailed technical reports, contents, manuals, and operational guidelines.
Experience with SysML and ECSS standards or similar
Professional certification in Systems Engineering (Ex. INCOSE)
Have a can-do spirit and good problem-solving skills
