Position Overview
The government/Infrastructure-focused Solution Engineer (SE) is hybrid role that will lead all technical aspects of an Autodesk sales campaign by supporting the partners and Internal Sales teams with direct engagement with end-users. The Solution Engineer (SE) uses in-depth industry and software knowledge to uncover customer business issues and suggest improvements, thus earning status as a trusted advisor to the customer. He/She will partner with multiple internal sales teams, technical solutions executives (TechSE) and authorised partner teams to provide pre-sales technical assistance to ensure we move all customer the next level of design.
Responsibilities
You will report to Technical Sales Manager and communicate and connect customer goals with Autodesk Technology Offerings to Deliver
You will facilitate discovery workshops of varying sizes with our customers to help uncover business issues/drivers/future goals and use this information to connect Autodesk solutions to business outcome value
Communicate product workflow, features and benefits in pre-sales situations. Presentations may be live or by Web-delivery mechanisms
Provide product presentations at industry-specific trade shows
Work with Autodesk Authorised Partners. Provide customer-facing presentations in the form of dealer seminars and workshops.
Grow partner presentation abilities
SE will become proactive in local, state and national industry-related user groups. Interaction should include presentations, panel discussions and product demonstrations. Helping user groups to advocate the Autodesk message helps us grow the industry capability
You work with other internal Autodesk departments like BSM, Technical Marketing Manager or Product Teams requirements for the local region
Collaborate with a broader team of TSE/SE members from across the APAC region
Minimum Qualification
Experience with the purchase process in the government segment.
At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Technical knowledge of using the following AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks desirable and Revit is an additional bonus
Must have experience leading infrastructure design software (i.e. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks). Knowledge of Autodesk Cloud solutions is desirable
Must be willing to become an expert in the use of Civil 3D, and Infraworks
Willingness to maintain a comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of the current technologies of the domain, and insight into the industry best practices, business processes, and offerings
You can work in a team environment
Able to travel up to 50% of the time and enjoy working with diverse groups of people with widely variable technical skills
Good communication skills including the ability to speak Hindi
Previous experience in technical sales is desirable; however, we are willing to consider individuals from a non-sales background
