Job Description
The Factory Solution Developer on the Solution Consulting Factory is a hands-on technical developer with the ability to develop and position solutions in support of our global Solution Consulting team. This role is a hybrid role that straddles ServiceNow Platform Development and ServiceNow Pre-Sales Solution Consulting. The Factory is a demo-build team that creates custom demo solutions (custom apps, service portals, workspaces, etc.) that are all built on the ServiceNow platform and are delivered to our Solution Consulting team for demonstration to our customers.

While not a customer facing role, the Solution Developer gets to work with some of our most exciting customer brands and provide unique solutions to enterprise scale problems in a rapid, proof of concept environment. You will be at the cutting edge of where our customers are taking ServiceNow. What you get to do in this role: - Understand solution requirements and develop key solution components on the ServiceNow Platform
- Build compelling solutions against demo requirements captured by our account teams
- Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with account teams
- Stay current on product developments/releases to a level required for demo and POC/POV creation
- Support Marketing events – user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc. Stay current on competitive analyses and understand differentiators between the company and its competitors
- Understand business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, and security In conjunction with Sales and Professional Services, conduct transition briefing - communicate commitments and expectations in preparation for deployment
Qualifications
- 2 - 5+ years of development experience – ideally in a field related to ServiceNow
- Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript and/or Angular.js
- A strong foundational understanding of the ServiceNow Platform
- Certified ServiceNow Application Developer is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technology Ability to actively listen to account team solution requirements and provide a solution to address the customer’s business issue
- Eagerness and willingness to learn Demonstrated proactive approach to perform without being told what to do
- Ability to prioritize tasks and be efficient to minimize wasted effort
- Proven ability to live up to commitments while maintaining integrity and focus on details
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to include technical and business concepts
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Technology is a plus
