We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Lead Architect.
In this role, you will:
The Lead Architect for Connect/Host to Host (H2H) will be responsible for defining, developing, and guiding the implementation of the architectural vision for HSBC’s Connect/Host to Host (H2H) initiatives. This role involves creating robust, scalable, and secure architectures that align with HSBC’s strategic objectives, enhance customer experiences, and comply with regulatory requirements. The Lead Architect will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, ensuring seamless integration with third-party providers, and supporting HSBC’s position as a leader in the digital banking landscape
- Develop and Define Connect/Host to Host (H2H) Architecture: Lead the design and development of the future state architecture for Connect/Host to Host (H2H), ensuring it meets HSBC’s strategic goals, customer needs, and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Work closely with business, product management, technology, and support teams, as well as central architecture and CTO functions, to gather requirements, align on objectives, and ensure the architecture supports business outcomes.
- Ensure Compliance and Security: Develop architectures that comply with relevant regulations such as PSD2 and GDPR, and implement best practices for data security, privacy, and integrity.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in Connect/Host to Host (H2H) by exploring new technologies, tools, and methods. Lead efforts to continuously improve architecture standards and practices within the organization.
- Guidance and Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to other architects, engineers, and project teams. Mentor and support the development of architectural skills within the team.
- Engineering Partnership: Build a strong and close partnership between architects and development teams to ensure alignment with principals, advise in the early stages of the development process and obtain early input into architectural decisions.
- Governance and Review: Participate in governance forums such as the Technical Design Forum and Digital Design Authority, providing expert input and securing approval for architectural decisions and designs.
- Documentation and Standards: Ensure comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, principles, and standards. Establish and maintain architectural best practices, frameworks, and guidelines.
