The Analytics Platform will employ innovative technologies performing batch and streaming computation in the public cloud.
You will work closely with the architects, other analytics teams, and product and business collaborators to bring value to all analytics products.
The Analytics applications are developed today in Java and C++ using ElasticSearch and public cloud technologies.
We aim to fully harness the power of Big Data Technologies such as Spark, Flink, and public cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS),
Google Cloud and Azure to continually evolve the platform and its capabilities.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers on a project basis and help develop more junior engineers.
• Explore and implement design options that ensure business and technical requirements are met.
• Define and lead overall software validation requirements and strategies ensuring software fully meets business, technical and operational requirements.
• Provide technical and business guidance to teams and act as a point of contact for technical and product matters.
• Act as point of contact or a subject matter expert for technical issues for a specific work stream within a larger project.
• Assist in identification and implementation of short-term and long-term solution options, including risk assessments, and recommendations to business and technology leadership.
• Provide work breakdown and estimates for complex software development tasks.
• You will be developing complex software components and frameworks to deliver and enable other software engineers to deliver business value efficiently.
• Ensure that the team develops software using focused software development processes, adhering to team/company standards and software best practice guidelines and policies.
• Provide technical support to customer or operations support teams.
• Build clarity, accountability and collaboration across other platform development team
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Engineering
• looking for 10 + years of Strong working knowledge of Java, Design Patterns, REST API
• Strong problem solving, algorithmic thinking and coding skills
• Experience in development of complex distributed, multi-tier systems
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery and test automation
• Ability to work in a highly agile team environment
• Strong working knowledge of C++, Python a plus
• Experience in Stream Computing or Complex Event Processing Engine a strong plus
• In-depth knowledge of Big Data technologies a strong plus
• Experience in working with market data a plus
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization a plus
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of and/or a desire to learn and work with cloud technologies

• Recognized expert in their functional area or geography
