Job Summary:


To work with MSS-COE Pune - as Software Subject Matter Expert


In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:


  • The Software Subject Matter Expert -position is a key member of the MSS COE (Centre Of Excellence).He/She builds team responsible for the accurate, quality and consistent engineering execution of project deliverables from the COE across their specific functional discipline as well as driving engineering solutions to complex solutions that align with global execution model. Candidates must have experience managing teams of people in a diverse, fast paced environment as well as demonstrate high level of collaboration with engineering and management resources within other world areas as well as directly with FSS Customers.
  • Responsible for analyzing technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects and resource forecasting.
  • Responsible for the engineering processes and suggest changes for areas of improvement or simplification.
  • Leading the continuous improvement and training activities within the functional team to drive a culture of continuous improvement as measured through deliverables and execution performance.
  • Responsible for the functional team work processes that insures timely and efficient completion of projects in alignment with organization quality processes.
  • Responsible for leading and developing employees to align with CoE strategic vision/COE promise statement and execution performance standards
  • Leads change in engineering processes in accordance with industry standards and changing customer and internal requirements. Works to drive zero defect processes.
  • Develops solutions to engineering problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data. Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative actions. 
  • Attends appropriate industry related professional society meetings and functions to stay informed of and make good use of new technology, products and personal development opportunities.
  • Responsible for drive Innovation/design improvisation – for MSS.
  • Work closely with Human Resources in identifying Organizational Talent on an ongoing basis and identify future talent for the organization. Responsible for appropriately setting training programs both within and outside the organization for the operations team.
  • Work closely with Global Project Management Office to ensure appropriate adoption of Global project processes, tools and procedures.  Setting organizational metrics for close adoption and monitoring.
  • Candidates shall have demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and assign work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated knowledge of ISO9001 quality process requirements while managing department and resource compliance, have proven ability to convey a professional image while building and sustaining customer relationships, and must be comfortable presenting to executive leadership.

For This Role, You Will Need


  • Ensure – work is allocated /dedicated to complete Project task in given schedules.
  • Provide necessary guidance / training to team to improve Performance.

  • Monitoring and reporting weekly - progress and able to support team to provide solutions.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proven process management and process improvement skills.
  • Will work primarily in an office setting. Will be required at times to work in a fabrication shop or at a job site with moderate noise levels and inherent safety hazards.
  • Employee may be required to travel infrequently for conferences, seminars, training and customer meetings or job site support. Travel could be international.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 15+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office Tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
  • Familiar with basic design work processes and has completed basic design packages for external customers.
  • Being able to effectively communicate findings through reports and presentations.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Hands on configurations of S600+Flow computer and OMNI.
  • Hands on Configurations and testing of DV based Metering Flow Computer Panel and DanPac Panel and Blending and transfer solutions/ Batch experience could be added advantage.
  • Successfully completed Gas and Liquid Fiscal or Custody transfer Metering Skids and handled customer KOM, FAT and able to support SAT to the satisfaction of customer.
  • Able to do simulation test set up and perform test.
  • Familiar with PLC, SCAD HIMI, hands on experience.
  • Successful test serial communications- on Modbus TCP/IP.
  • Verify Calculations as per API/ MPMI - AGA standards.
