The role is also expected to influence the behaviours and culture of the engineering teams across Wholesale Client Services – particularly in building agile and self-sustaining teams. The role is hands-on, with an expectation of code delivery in parallel with coaching and supporting the engineers in the team. The role requires a fixation on getting digital software into the hands of users, by delivering the smallest possible thing and then iterating on the back of feedback. The role also expects close engagement with architecture, actively helping to shape the future architecture to ensure it aligns with the principles by which we work. The role requires broad technical knowledge with experience in areas including CyberSecurity, Customer portals, and business engagement. Engaging with the Wholesale businesses is a key part of the role; to demonstrate capabilities, provide technical consultancy, and help identify technology innovation opportunities.
