Software Engineering is the cornerstone of scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo’s value chain. The candidate will be part of our Integration team ensuring that microservices are developed using best practices and development guidelines. This candidate will work closely with team members and the architecture team to develop new modules/applications. Responsibilities Support the vision and work with a team of engineers to build and support digital products and services (DPS) across S&T core priorities Partner with User Experience, Product Management, IT, Data & Analytics, Emerging Tech, Innovation, and Process Engineering teams to deliver the Digital Products portfolio Support software development strategy utilizing industry standards. Interact with key business partners to recommend solutions that best meet the strategic needs of the business Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field 5+ years of relevant software development. Commanding knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Strong system design fundamentals and experience building distributed scalable systems. Proficiency in Java and Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem, JUnit, Backend Microservices. Understanding of RESTful principles and experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. Experience with Python microservices development is a big plus. Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI. Experience with Relational database like MSSQL and NoSQL databases like Couchbase/Mongo DB Working knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka/Event Hub is a big plus. Experience with CI/CD, devops development automation. Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
