Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Financial Services industry. In this role, you will work on developing robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions that meet the needs of our financial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, financial services knowledge, and experience working on complex, large-scale systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications for financial services platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other engineers, to define software requirements and features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and identify areas for optimization and refactoring.
  • Implement and maintain APIs, microservices, and other integrations between different financial systems.
  • Work on back-end systems related to payments, trading, compliance, data processing, and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software issues, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct unit testing and support quality assurance processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Java EE.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and software development best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Strong understanding of financial services concepts such as payments, securities, trading platforms, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in financial software development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with financial data feeds, trading platforms, and market data protocols (FIX, SWIFT).
  • Familiarity with messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, front-end technologies, or full-stack development.
