Software Engineer III - FIX Client Onboarding Engineer

As a Software Engineer III - FIX Client Onboarding Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank - Equities - Futures & Options team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the Onboarding, certification, and enhancement work from start to finish for FIX clients accessing the JPM product suite
• Work closely with both the front office and other technology teams to gather and analyze client and business requirements, and then drive the conception and implementation of creative and robust solutions in a high productivity environment.
• Participate and manage large scale project work and also provide second line support.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Experience of FIX client Onboarding or support
• Experience of working with vendor systems and connectivity hubs.
• Experience in a client facing role.
• Clear communicator able to work well under pressure.
• Strong familiarity with Unix/Linux and basic shell scripting.
• Experience of programming in Java.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

• Project management.
• Knowledge of networking: Firewalls and key vendors such as TNS/Radianz.
• Good knowledge of Equities or F&O front office trading systems.
• Experience of a trading floor environment.
• Understanding of Equities and/or F&O end to end trading flows
