Software Engineer II - Full Stack - Java Backend & Angular/ReactOverview
Mastercard Artificial Intelligence & Decision Product Enablement (AI & DPE), enables intelligent decision-based products through real time and near real time streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility at global scale to support Cyber Intelligence and prevent Fraud.
The Decision Administration team in DPE manages account range enrollments to Fraud Prevention Products. We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join us on this amazing journey as we succeed on many tremendous opportunities ahead.
Role :
• Own software delivery tasks (code development, test, deployment) at an application/software component level
• Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders
• Able to troubleshoot and refactor existing code
• Adopt new languages and architecture patterns needed for the work
• Influence the decisions made by the team
• Assist peers and less experienced members
• Influence the decisions made by the team
• Demonstrate active learning and sharing of software practices via Guild/Engineering community initiatives
• Assist in technical documentation of APIs and services being delivered
All About You :
• Overall 3-5 years of career experience into Full Stack Development
• Must possess good Hands-on Angular OR React experience
• Strong Java Backend Skills required (Java, Springboot, Microservices)
• Expert in full stack development and experience with Java [J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA] • Web [Angular, React, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, HTML] ,C, C++, Node.JS, Jenkins, MSSQL, GIT, Unix & Windows.
• Database [Postgres, MSSQL]-Well versed in writing efficient and optimized SQL queries
• Ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle, maturity, and road-mapping exercises.
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise initiatives that include multiple impact teams across the enterprise.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey messages at different levels – detailed and high-level management
• Ability to effectively drive resolution of issues and roadblocks
• Highly motivated and proactive to ensure the success of the team and product
• Comprehensive experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.) and CI/CD
• Deep understanding of the platform, the integration patterns, the organizational capabilities, and the company wide assets that can be leveraged to provide technical solutions to customer problems
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing shared web service platforms including front end and backend capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy.
Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
