Role:
The Software Engineer II is a hands-on automation engineer specialized in automation testing along with background on Java development with a particular focus on developing & testing Restful APIs.
What you will do:
• Play a pivotal role on the Agile team in the continuous validation of services and complete software solutions.
• Design and develop test automation scenarios to validate system to system interfaces and complete software solutions (for API and UI tests) .
• Translate complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.
• Works closely with software engineers to build quality by ensuring proper test and code coverage, configuration quality, monitoring, early performance testing.
• Supports quality/test strategy creation, testing, and automation.
• Generate test data for defined test cases, recognize test environment preparation needs, and execute existing test plans and report results.
• Work closely with developers to identify code defects or regressions.
• Develops automation frameworks and configurations.
• Participate in requirements review, story elaborations and testing activities.
• Good hands-on and practical working experience with - Java
• Collaborate with teams by contributing to the shared vision and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders
• Perform demos of new product functionality to stakeholders
All About You:
• Experienced in code development, code review, and construction and use of automation frameworks.
• Analyzed application logs and utilized basic debugging techniques.
• Successfully validated one or more applications via automation, for new feature functionality and regression testing.
• Experienced in Agile testing methodologies and tools, unit and integration testing, and virtualization tools.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Automation Tester with good Java Coding Skills.
• Hands on to either of these tools SoapUI/Postman/Insomnia.
• Good to have: Exposure to mobile testing using SaaS products like BrowserStack or Perfecto.
Must have skills :
* Experience testing REST APIs and UI.
* Tools : Rest Assured, Selenium, Java, Cucumber, Maven, Karate, Splunk
* Technical skills in Eclipse/IntelliJ Idea, Git, Bitbucket
* Good SQL skills to work on large and complex data sources and capability of comprehending and writing complex queries.
* Experience working in Agile teams and conversant with Agile/SAFe tenets and ceremonies.
* Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively interact with multiple technical teams and other stakeholders.
