Software Engineer | C, Go, Python, TLS, VPP | Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS | 5 to 8 years | Bangalore

We are a team based in Bangalore working on Firewall as a Service (FWaaS) component in the Cisco SSE cloud security solution.

We are extending our portfolio in Bangalore, and we are setting up a new team to design and improvise on the performance and scaling factors for one of the RA VPN as a service headend component in our cloud security solution.

You will be joining this new seed team based in Bangalore, working closely with counterparts in the US region.

You will be responsible for the design, development and to improvise on the performance and scaling of customers (branch and remote) traffic converging in one of the Remote access VPN headend component services tunneling through the AnyConnect and SNIProxy modules for our cloud-based security solutions.

• Write Functional and Design specification
• Design, Improvise and Develop service modules and features with C, VPP, Go, Python
• Perform unit-testing, add automation coverage and monitors to deploy in stage, preproduction and production environments
• Participate to threat modelling, risk and vulnerability assessment solutions required to deploy the change-requests, features in the production environments
• Provide on-call PagerDuty support to the customer deployed solutions as when scheduled

• Proven experience in Containerization and related technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS
• Experience and domain knowledge of security (TLS handshake, encryption, firewalls, secure systems and software design, etc)
• Proven experience in VPP, C and application technologies like Rust

• Exposure to Data Plane (VPP), C, Go, Python, TLS handshake and encryption
• AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Git
• Managing Customers escalation
• Working in agile development model and collaborating with cross-functional teams
