What You Will Do:This is a role within Cisco's groundbreaking Data Center Networking team. You will participate in projects involving development of platform independent software for our next generation network operating systems for Cisco’s industry leading N9K family of switches.Who You Will Work With:You will work with a diverse group of some of the brightest problem solvers and thinkers in the Data Center Networking/Switching Team that work on next generation of Data Center & Cloud switches.Who You Are The candidate must be an upbeat, self-motivated, and team-first individual, who is willing to learn, take ownership of assignments, and do what is necessary for the overall success of the team and the organization.Required SkillsA Bachelor’s degree related to Software Development (Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or equivalent) with 4-8 years experience.A high degree of proficiency with C or C++.A high degree of proficiency with real-time concepts and embedded software development.Strong problem solving skills and excellent at troubleshooting/debugging.Experience with Linux/Unix in a development capacity.Experience with source code control systems such as GIT.Experience and proficiency with Python.Experience with Jenkins, Jira, and other Agile and/or continuous integration tools.Knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, etc.)Proven understanding of the complexities involved in implementing multi-client APIs on shared data.Why Cisco? #WeAreCisco.
