Position Profile - SDET-II
Job Purpose
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test - II to develop and execute automated and manual tests to ensure product quality.
The SDET responsibilities include test case development, manual testing, designing and implementing automated UI / API tests for web and API first backend applications.
The responsibilities will also include monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
The candidate is also expected to strike a balance between Indian and US time zones to ensure attending meetings with business stakeholders, address production issues, provide service adoption support, etc.
Main Responsibilities
Understand the backend product requirements and:
Develop Test plan
Develop test cases
Automate test cases
Conduct:
Manual testing
Automation testing
Performance testing
Profiling and benchmarking testing
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery testing
Integrate all automated tests and reports with CI.
Coordinate with your project team, complete testing on time, report bugs and track them to closure.
Take part in team standups, product review meetings, weekly meetings.
Key Result Area
Timely delivery of test cases and automated tests on a sprint-to-sprint basis.
Automation coverage to be at least 90% (90% manual test cases must be automated).
Effective reporting of work and reports.
Skill Set
Strong in programming language likes Python / Java / C# etc.
Working experience in CRM.
Hands-on experience of Web application/services testing. Candidates with web application automation will be preferred.
Hands-on experience in test case development is a must.
Hands on experience in setting up CI, test report generation with tools like Allure, Extent reports, Zephyr, etc.
Candidates with hands-on experience on AWS/Azure for testing/automation or knowledge/certification in AWS/Azure will be preferred.
Hands-on experience in test automation of at least 2 years will be preferable.
Upbeat, Self-starter and Passionate to learn new technologies.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience working in a tier-1 organization
Graduated from a premier institute.
B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech / M.S. in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent degree with a good JEE / AIEEE / GATE score.
10th Grade: State Boards 90%. Central or International Boards: 80%
12th Grade: State Boards 90%. Central or International Boards: 80%
Good score in any of the national level Olympiads or talent search examinations will be a value addition.
Paper presentation in a national level forum, contribution to open source projects, contribution to standards bodies will be a value addition.
