You would work for Locations team which is authority for predictions of Amazon's customer locations . This is a core platform team which enriches entire Amazon shopping( both delivery and pickup ) experience.
Key job responsibilities
- You design software solutions to enable new features or improve software. You may still require guidance from your team’s leadership to ensure your designs are in alignment with your team’s long-term architectural strategy.
- You are a significant contributor to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment and maintenance of the team's software.
- You are active in the code review process on your team, providing meaningful feedback to others, including those who are more senior.
- You demonstrate operational excellence in all of your work.
A day in the life
- You document what your team’s software does; how it is constructed, tested, and operated; how secure it is; and how it fits into the bigger picture. When new teammates join, you actively train them in these points.
- You work with customers, and peers to understand the business and customer value of your team’s software in order to ensure you deliver the right solutions.
- You effectively make priority tradeoffs between new feature development and operational work.
- You actively mentor other engineers on your team.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
