Job Summary:


We are seeking a passionate and experienced Associate - Social Listening to join the GCN team. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of social media listening principles and techniques, and has a proven track record of extracting valuable insights from social data to inform marketing strategies.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor social media conversations: Utilize social listening tools to monitor online conversations relevant to our clients' brands, industries, and competitors.


  • Identify key trends and insights: Analyze social data to identify emerging trends, sentiment shifts, and potential crises.


  • Develop actionable reports: Create comprehensive reports that summarize key findings, including sentiment analysis, competitive intelligence, and actionable recommendations.


  • Inform marketing strategies: Collaborate with social media managers and content creators to inform content strategies, campaign planning, and community engagement initiatives.


  • Identify influencers and brand advocates: Use social listening tools to identify key influencers and potential brand advocates within relevant online communities.


  • Crisis management: Assist in identifying and mitigating potential brand reputation issues by monitoring social media for negative sentiment and escalating concerns.


  • Stay up-to-date: Remain current on the latest social media trends, listening tools, and best practices.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a social listening or social media analytics role, preferably within a digital marketing agency setting.


  • Proficiency in social listening tools: Hands-on experience with popular social listening platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Meltwater).


  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze social data, identify patterns, and extract meaningful insights.


  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations in written and verbal formats.


  • Data visualization skills: Experience creating visually compelling reports and presentations to showcase data insights.


  • Understanding of social media marketing: Knowledge of social media marketing principles and best practices.


  • Team player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Bonus Points:


  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics)


  • Knowledge of social media advertising
