Description of main tasks:


The Incumbent is responsible for the following tasks:


Inward


  • Supervise the receipt of incoming materials and goods from suppliers as per plant operations.
  • Ensure accuracy in verifying received items against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Coordinate with the receiving team to inspect and document any damaged or defective items.

Coordination with cross functional team


  • Work closely with Production, purchase, Transporter, and warehouse to streamline store process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and improve processes.
  • To coordinate with Sub- contractor for job work products.

Quality Assurance Management


  • Implement and maintain quality control measures in logistics.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Collaboration with process & Quality team for quality inspection

Put away Operations Management


  • Develop and implement put away strategies and workflows to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the put away process of received materials into designated storage locations.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of materials to optimize warehouse space and facilitate easy retrieval.

Line Feeding


  • Coordinate the delivery of materials and components to production lines according to production schedules.
  • Ensure accurate and timely line feeding to support uninterrupted production flow.
  • Monitor inventory levels at production lines and initiate replenishment as needed.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to optimize line feeding processes and minimize downtime.

3PL staff management and their training/ Managerial Responsibilities


  • To monitor and control the performance of 3PL staff by constant training, devising policies to ensure a high level of accuracy for every material transaction.
  • To monitor and control performance of other contractual service providers like forklift and loading unloading services.

Inventory Management & Reporting


  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or WMS systems.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory levels and trends to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent shrinkage, loss, or damage to inventory.
  • Develop standardized procedures for receiving, picking, replenishment, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Provide comprehensive training to warehouse staff on inventory management best practices, including proper handling, labeling, and storage procedures.

WAM Implementation


  • To Lead, plan & implement WAM manufacturing for Pune Plant and promote operating in a continual improvement environment.

Documentation


  • Cross check unloading slip and invoice, ensure to handle documents to respective parties on time.
  • Provide documentation support during internal audits, regulatory inspections, or customer audits as needed.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for all relevant documents, both electronic and hard copies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inbound, job work and outbound shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
  • Ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and withdrawals.
  • To be a Key user of WMS system well understand about all WMS process and able to resolve issues within the process.

5'S and Safety


  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining 5S methodology and safety practices within the organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety hazards and mitigate risks.

Professional Education


  • Diploma / Graduate in Any Field.

Professional Experience (how long)?


  • 4 to 8 Yrs.
