ServiceNow Release and Automation Lead

Job Summary:
The Release and Automation Lead is responsible for managing platform upgrades, patching, and automation initiatives to drive efficiency and maintain system integrity. This role ensures release processes align with governance standards, minimizes production risks, and leverages scripting expertise to enhance automation and debugging capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead platform upgrades, patching, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and stability.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation scripts, and workflow optimizations.
• Collaborate with the Governance Lead to maintain platform performance and stability.
• Manage release cycles and deployment schedules, ensuring seamless production transitions.
• Oversee change management processes, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Conduct impact analysis with the development team and review deployment strategies.
• Execute production deployments and monitor post-release performance and stability.
• Develop and enhance automation scripts to streamline release processes and reduce manual efforts.
• Debug and analyze release failures, script execution issues, and integration challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Expert-level experience in ServiceNow release management, automation, and platform upgrades.
• Strong scripting experience in JavaScript, GlideScript, and automation frameworks within ServiceNow.
• Deep understanding of change management, deployment strategies, and rollback mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience in debugging ServiceNow workflows, integration issues, and release failures.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive automation and deployment efficiencies.

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in computer programming languages, testing tools, or a related field.
