Position Overview:
We are seeking a proficient Senior VisionPLUS Developer to design and develop software solutions within the VisionPLUS framework. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of VisionPLUS modules and development expertise to effectively address production and UAT incidents while providing innovative solutions.
Software Requirements:
- Strong expertise in the VisionPLUS framework and its modules.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the VisionPLUS sub-systems (CMS Posting, FAS, TRAMS, VMx).
- Proficiency in Mainframe technologies, including JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and CICS.
- Familiarity with methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile Scrum, or Agile Kanban.
- Vision Flex experience is preferred.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Monitor and provide solutions for production and UAT incidents related to VisionPLUS applications.
- Analyze and resolve issues within the VisionPLUS environment, leveraging expertise in relevant sub-systems.
- Work independently and escalate issues as needed when they are not resolved in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to provide technical insight and solutions to complex business problems.
- Understand client requirements and develop solution design documents for delivery to clients and internal teams.
- Provide functional and technical guidance to Business Analysts and Developers.
- Assist in resolving complex issues and incidents during implementation, testing, and production stages.
- Aid in the implementation and stabilization of solutions within the VisionPLUS framework.
- Maintain a high-level understanding of all VisionPLUS subsystems and batch processing.
Category-wise Technical Skills:
- VisionPLUS Expertise:Hands-on experience with VisionPLUS modules, specifically in CMS Posting, FAS, TRAMS, and VMx.
- Mainframe Skills:Proficient in JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and CICS for application development and support.
- Methodologies:Experience with software development methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile Scrum, or Agile Kanban.
- Vision Flex:Familiarity with Vision Flex is a plus.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in VisionPLUS development and support.
- Proven track record of successfully managing production incidents and providing effective solutions.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Monitor production systems and respond to incidents as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Develop and review solution design documents based on client requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and business analysts.
- Participate in implementation and testing phases to ensure smooth deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
