Overview
The Mastercard Enterprise Gateway Solutions organization offers a comprehensive suite of products that consolidates and simplifies access to all networks, payment solutions and services connecting businesses with a global network of payment and service providers, enabling secure and seamless transactions anywhere, anytime.
The Senior Vice President, Network and Account to Account Gateway Services provides senior leadership to Mastercard’s global software engineering teams focusing on the development of applications. This position defines the technical architecture and strategy, hires, and develops a high-performance software engineering organization who has the responsibility for designing, developing, and supporting application and technology components for the payment suite of applications. This includes the Network Gateway, Account to Account Gateway, and scaling the connectivity options offered through the Payment Gateway.
Role:
- Strategic technical leader who brings considerable experience designing and implementing highly scalable solutions supporting multi-brand payment flows using a broad range of technologies.
- Define the structures and operating mechanisms to run your organization while shifting to a data driven and continuous learning culture across your organization.
- Inspect the delivery plans and execution metrics using your own tech depth and delivery experience to assess risks and continuously raise the bar.
- Provide strategic thinking and leadership related to a wide range of applications and systems, or software-development methodologies.
- Build and cultivate strong internal customer relationships to establish engagement models for your team, ensure delivery of quality products in alignment with expectations, and uncover cross-company requirements.
- Collaborate with business/product owners to develop and deliver on new services to address market, customer, and product needs.
- Actively develop your managers and technical staff while continuously raising the bar on performance, technical depth, program management results, and people management as you hire new managers.
- Emulate and drive Mastercard Way behaviors through their behavior, recognitions, coaching, and employee engagement.
- Sets the vision for an environment of ingenuity and creativity and acts as a role model for others in challenging the status quo to encourage innovation.
About You:
- Passion for bringing solutions to market, strong IT experience with successful history in managing medium-to-large scale development organization with demonstrated thought-leadership, cross-functional influence, and partnership.
- Technical leader who has built highly scalable and configurable platforms with a focus on the CX and UX at leading technology or financial companies.
- Has the executive presence to collaborate with senior leaders within Mastercard and with our customers, the largest global banks, issuing and acquiring processors and fintechs in the world.
- Transformation experience highly desirable
- Experience managing multiple functional areas within technology such as technical architecture, software development, system testing, and production support.
- Understands architecture, trade-offs and how to build platforms.
- Balanced decision-maker who leverages data, insights, and competitive analysis to prioritize key strategies needed to scale funds movement solutions for future needs such as distributed ledger technology.
- Trusted partner with internal and external stakeholders - providing consultative technical and business leadership.
- Understanding of various payments schemes, payment flows, security services and ecosystems, including local and alternate payment methods.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable and secure payment systems supporting real time and back-office processing.
- Hands-on experience in designing solutions and full stack development in modern technologies for large enterprise technology platforms and systems.
- Hands-on experience in coding microservices in Java, building UI/UX, frameworks such as React, Angular, spring boot), event driven architecture, API’s, and experience with a variety of ISO based message specifications (ISO8583, ISO20022)
- Experience in deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines, docker containers & Kubernetes to Cloud platforms. Prior experience in AWS/Azure is a plus.
- Develop leaders empowered to operate autonomously with support when needed.
- Familiar with emerging technologies, industry trends and thorough understanding of development methodologies and standards.
- Ability to manage objectives and pipelines, build business cases, define success metrics, and interpret P&L to optimize the business.
