We are looking for a Senior UI/ UX Interaction Designer to join the Aladdin Studio team. Aladdin is the risk management system of the largest investment management corporation. Aladdin is the analysis system used to evaluate individual investments, based on a pool of historical data that uses Monte Carlo simulation to select large, randomly generated samples from the very large number of possible future scenarios. The Aladdin Data Studio team takes care of the front end of the Aladdin system. This position offers a hybrid work model in Mumbai, in-office collaboration 2-3 times a week.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews with users and stakeholders to gather detailed information through thoughtful and strategic questioning.
• Create user flows, user journeys, and journey maps to represent user experiences and interactions.
• Develop prototypes using a pre-defined UI pattern library in Figma, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Build prototypes in Adobe XD, leveraging in-app drawing skills without using stencils.
• Collaborate with the Aladdin Design Team to enforce UX governance across projects and contribute to the evolution of BLK design patterns as needed.
• Design high-fidelity prototypes and components, primarily utilizing Figma.
• Assist with UX research by supporting the development of an action-tracking framework that monitors user actions, behaviors, and patterns. Use insights to propose new experiences that automate frequent, high-value user actions through predictive behavioral analysis and UX automation.
• Work with technologists to identify key user scenarios to track and suggest improvements that reduce task completion time and optimize processes and workflows.
• Apply extensive experience with established design systems and libraries while following strict interaction design patterns.
• Innovate, conceptualize, and design new features to simplify complex client business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, end-users, developers, data scientists, program managers, and platform operators, to design and prototype solutions, contributing to product strategy and roadmap development.
• Engage in continuous learning and foster a positive, fun, and collaborative team environment.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to drive the company’s platform transformation strategy.
• Define and execute product direction, from strategic vision through roadmap development to final design execution.
• Maintain alignment and transparency of product vision by engaging with internal partners and end-users.
• Partner with program managers and engineering leads to ensure successful execution of product strategy in an Agile, sprint-by-sprint approach.
• Lead internal initiatives and introduce innovative ways of working to improve team performance and outcomes.

• Expert-level UX Designer, UX Manager, and mentor, with a passion for contributing to our vision.
• Deep enthusiasm for UX, emerging technologies, smart and complex UI, with a drive to take on advanced UI projects.
• Strong interest or experience in data visualization, with a willingness to learn and grow in this area.
• Familiarity with UX principles like Fitts's Law, Miller's Law, and Hick's Law.
• Experience working with data and/or analytics pipelines, with a preference for FinTech experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Skilled in influencing decision-making processes across different levels and contexts within an organization.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adept at finding meaningful insights amidst uncertainty.
• A passion for design and data, leveraging both to develop innovative problem-solving approaches.
• Hands-on approach to interaction design, with a desire to understand the full context of users' experiences, beyond just the screens you design.
• Perseverance in tackling challenges, pushing through where others may give up.
• Eagerness to work with Generative AI, such as ChatGPT, and other emerging technologies, incorporating them into your design processes and solutions.
