Job Title: Senior Test EngineerCareer Level - D2Introduction to roleAre you ready to take your testing expertise to the next level? As a Senior Consultant - Test Engineer, you will conduct various testing activities within IT projects, working in line with set test strategies and best practices. Your role involves testing software products to a highly capable level and documenting the output of the testing activities in a clear and concise manner. You will engage in requirements analysis, test design, test case and test charter creation, test execution, automation, tooling, test documentation, and test reporting. Additionally, you will coach and mentor less experienced Test Engineers.Accountabilities- Extensive experience with end-to-end testing processes, including test planning, design, execution, and reporting, working either in a team with other testers or independently as a sole tester.- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for functional testing that align with project goals and timelines.- Lead the preparation and execution of functional test scripts, ensuring thorough coverage and adherence to best practices.- Conduct in-depth reviews of test scripts before and after execution to guarantee accuracy and completeness.- Oversee the defect lifecycle, from identification and documentation to prioritization and resolution, ensuring clear communication with development teams.- Allocate tasks and manage workloads for the testing team, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of testing activities.- Monitor and manage the progress of test phases, providing regular updates and detailed reports on test execution status to stakeholders.- Facilitate post-testing analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback to enhance future testing cycles.- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the testing process, addressing issues promptly and escalating when necessary.- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior testers, offering guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.Career Sub-Level DescriptionPosition requiring professional qualifications with minimum 8and upto 10years of specialised knowledge of work area.
