Digital Catalog org within Digital Acceleration is looking for a highly motivated Senior TPM to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in owning and executing strategic programs in Digital Catalog that impact multiple Digital businesses and contributes to critical initiatives within Digital Acceleration organization.
Our products are used by 40+ digital teams for merchandizing their products across different stores. We support and own services including Tier 1 supporting the complete product lifecycle management across Creation, Publishing and Vending of those products. We are in a critical transformation phase to fully leverage the Catalog capabilities to drastically simplify go to market for digital businesses.
In this role you will work with a team of development managers, wide array of engineering job families, product and multiple digital stakeholder leadership. You will be primarily responsible to scope technical efforts, set project priorities, milestones, and drive delivery of complex/cross-functional projects
Key job responsibilities
• You partner with product managers to deeply understand the business and technical requirements of the solutions being built and drive the right outcomes.
• you focus on the larger business and technology picture (i.e., customer experience, processes, opportunities, and/or problems to be solved).
• You help your customers and the engineering teams make appropriate trade-offs by considering the larger picture (e.g., business goals, user experience, dependency impacts, efficiency, availability, operability).
• You determine if success metrics are in place, and if not work to define them.
• To meet timelines and minimize disruption to builder teams, you manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of engineering efforts under control.
• You own program communication.
• You accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., “Path to green”), escalating appropriately.
About the team
Digital Catalog is a foundational org that supports product and offer merchandizing capabilities for multiple Digital Organizations within Amazon. We own highly critical Tier 1 services, User experiences and features required for critical shopping experiences for Amazon customers.
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
