About the role:
The MuleSoft Architect and Team Lead will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions across the organization. This position will focus on leading the development team, overseeing support activities, and spearheading the Centre for Enablement (C4E) to promote best practices, reusable assets, and a governance framework for MuleSoft adoption. The role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, ensuring seamless integration solutions that align with business goals while adhering to architectural standards and scalability requirements.
As a team lead, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You will also lead the Centre for Enablement, driving initiatives such as building reusable API assets, enforcing design patterns, and establishing governance processes that empower teams to deliver high-quality integration solutions efficiently. This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills to collaborate with business and technical teams, providing leadership on integration strategies, support operations, and optimizing the overall API ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the MuleSoft Centre for Enablement initiatives, establishing best practices, governance frameworks, and strategic roadmaps for MuleSoft implementations.
- Leadership: Manage permanent and third-party resources across different countries.
- Own the strategic Roadmap and management and allocation of the development team members.
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design robust MuleSoft solutions that meet business needs, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Project Oversight: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Mentor project teams and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business leaders, peers and stakeholders to understand their integration needs, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Training & Development: Develop training programs and materials to enhance the skills of the integration team and empower them to utilize MuleSoft tools effectively.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay current with MuleSoft releases, features, and integration trends. Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the integration ecosystem.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues in projects, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Keep track of schedule for on time delivery of assigned tasks as per the defined quality standards - Optimize pace and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and work on user stories/ backlog items and deliver same with highest quality
- Attend stand-up meetings and provide updates
- Develop solutions and POC’s based on customer and project needs
- Develop and test MuleSoft APIs to integrate source/target systems, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Experience within project settings of collaborating with others to validate, elaborate and clarify requirements.
- Proven experience in collaborative solution design, proposing, validating and refining designs based on feedback.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to optimize the performance of integrated solutions
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for MuleSoft APIs and integrations.
- Experience with technical deployments and modern engineering practices and tooling such as DevOps and test automation.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years leading MuleSoft teams
- Experience: Experience in managing a MuleSoft team, with a focus on C4E and development and strong technical knowledge of the platform
- MuleSoft Certifications: Relevant MuleSoft certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, MuleSoft Certified Architect) are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API design, and integration patterns. Experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs is essential.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change within an organization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions
