The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring IT systems and infrastructure to ensure they operate efficiently, securely, and reliably. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization, storage, monitoring, networking, and Windows/Linux system administration with excellent attention to detail. In this role, you will collaborate closely with IT Security, Networking, HelpDesk, and Application teams to ensure seamless integration of system infrastructure, security measures, and end-user support, aligning technology solutions with organizational objectives. You will be reporting to Manager, IT Network Operations. You will be responsible for:


  • Managing and optimizing VMware infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi, to ensure performance and reliability
  • Configuring and maintaining NAS storage solutions, overseeing backups, snapshots, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Administering Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and group management, GPOs, and managing SSL/TLS certificates using Digicert
  • Maintaining DNS and DHCP systems by ensuring proper IP allocation and record updates, while performing Linux/Unix system setup, security hardening, and troubleshooting
  • Leading IT infrastructure projects such as system upgrades and migrations, while contributing to network security initiatives like Zero Trust Architecture and upholding compliance with best practices
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Over 7 years of experience in systems administration across Linux and Windows environments, with expertise in infrastructure management, VMware administration, DNS, and Active Directory.
  • Proficient in VMware platforms (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) and Windows Active Directory (user/group management, Group Policy administration).
  • Skilled in Linux/Unix system administration, troubleshooting, and automation, as well as NAS storage management, disaster recovery, and SSL/TLS certificate workflows (e.g., Digicert).
  • Advanced knowledge of DNS/DHCP administration (e.g., creating and managing records via DNSMadeEasy) along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and security practices.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Familiar with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, enabling effective management of cloud-based services and infrastructure.
  • Strong skills in scripting and automation to streamline system processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Basic understanding of network virtualization and Zero Trust architecture concepts, along with preferred certifications such as VMware VCP, MCSA/MCSE, Linux RHCSA, or CompTIA Security+.
