Senior Specialist, Product ManagementOverview:
The Senior Specialist, Product Development, Data Compliance Platforms is responsible for the adoption of Data Compliance Platforms to mitigate risk and facilitate compliance for Mastercard from Data Protection Regulations and Laws . To accomplish this, data must be discoverable for data access and correction by an individual and further inventoried and cataloged to enable a broad range of data-driven innovative products and services. This role will interact with the Enterprise Product teams, Privacy and Engineering organizations to ensure products are assessed and integrated in a timely mannder in alignment with the strategic business objectives of the Data Governance and Enablement organization.
This role will report to the Vice President, Product Development, Data Compliance Platforms
Responsibilities of the Role
• Drive the regional Data Compliance Platform adoption initiatives which includes preparation of required materials, conducting product assessments, guiding enterprise product teams through the adoption process and providing execution oversight
• Engage cross-functionally and collaborate with Product, Privacy, Legal & TECH teams and serve as the regional subject matter expert for Data Compliance Platforms
• Support the strategic roadmap and implementation of short and long-term objectives and initiatives to drive results. Prepare, plan and lead the adoption effort in alignment with a delivery timelines.
• Help refine and update components of regional platform adoption strategy and determine opportunities to innovate, automate, scale and improve efficiency. Develop business case, identify impacts to roadmap and strategy for execution.
• Develop reports, dashboards and KPIs for internal audience on product assessments, compliance, platform adoption etc. Gather and document key business requirements, build, deploy in a central location and maintain
• Create and manage a prioritized data platform enhancements backlog. Work with product and engineering teams to lead the implementation effort, and execute.
• Own, develop and maintain documentation and training content for user audiences. Gain expertise in the Data Platforms functionality and conduct training sessions with set audiences to achieve timely onboarding objectives.
All About You
• 5+ years of experience in product development and management building and executing enterprise-grade global data governance programs with proven success in creating and executing successful product and platform strategies.
• Proficiency in data modeling, dashboard, report designs (Domo, Tableau, Power BI), ETL technologies (such as Alteryx), strong SQL skills and familiarity with database technologies and platforms (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Proven experience in in data discovery, data quality and data governance & management practices
• Comprehensive experience in Mastercard’s agile delivery methodologies and ability to prioritize and lead feature delivery efforts
• Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze and syntheize complex product constructs and make recommendations
• Understands the ‘big picture’, translates roadmap into actionable goals and drives successful adoption in the region
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities and develop constructive working relationships
• Self-starter with professional integrity, strong work ethics and passion to drive results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence, negotiate, and present to a variety of audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Management Information Systems or Computer Sciences or proven equivalent experience in the related disciplines.
