Senior Specialist

- Lead discussions with Clients / Re-insurers / Client Executives as well as Placing brokers

We will count on you for:
Core accountabilities:
- Processes cash receipts and disbursement of fiduciary funds and reconciliations responding to resulting queries
- Responds to requests from various stakeholders and appropriately escalates issues
- Supports personal cash processing and fiduciary targets, including the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to facilitate reporting from the CSS Dashboard and other system tools
- Coordinates with Client / Market Teams at regular intervals to review and assign balances, and to assist with collection of funds
- Establishes Client and/or market relationship on assigned portfolio
- Builds on technical reinsurance knowledge, and applies past learnings and experiences to solve problems
Technical Development:
- Lead/Participate in knowledge sharing forums across all the Practices
- Provide insights into complex technical jargons and clarify procedures.
- Lead authorization/sign off and approvals on technical reports and documentation
- Actively take path in the Business Continuity and Business Impact Analysis including a detailed mitigating plan.
- Participate in System Release Testing (Enhancement, Regression, report bugs)
- Mentor and train team members to grow technically and professionally within the organisation
Financial Performance
- Lead various Financial KPI (Cash, Funding, Income Exposure, Receivables, Retentions, Claims Collections, etc) review to drive continuous improvement and identify area for improvement.
- Ensuring Working Capital improvement and Bad Debt provisioning requirement well below the existing provision.
- Drive complex account/portfolio with a proper account notes / memo highlighting servicing methodology and key concepts/protocols followed for business continuity.
- Leading financial delivery for the team/BU / entities assigned and provide operations dashboard and metrics to show trends, figures and business insight.
Risk & Compliance:
- Ensure Compliance adherence to internal and external regulators guidelines
- Participate in Internal/External audits at Team Level and ensure team adherence to various compliances mandates
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience of Insurance / Reinsurance Accounting in London Market, Asian market OR US Markets.
- Knowledge of Broking business and the Insurance / Reinsurance terminologies.
- Know-how of markets/legislations/regulators/procedures governing our business
- Technical aptitude, analytical skills and ability to acquire subject matter expertise on existing and new processes
- Attention to detail is vital to succeed in this role
- Well-read and updated on recent developments and happenings impacting our business
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks, work within stiff timelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)
- Experience working in a team environment, where influence is required to get work done
- Experience handling multiple client requests
Education:
Graduate (Commerce, Banking & Insurance, and Finance preferable)
Eligibility:
- 4+ years of experience in insurance broking in the operations / finance areas
- Should have undertaken the responsibility of coaching / mentoring team members.
Desirable:
- Experience in Insurance Broking Accounts/Fiduciary function
- Fiduciary account management experience
- Client and/or market facing experience
