Your Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Sourcing Leader to lead our sourcing function and drive business growth across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies, managing complex supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet business requirements and drive cost savings
Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on sourcing strategies and supplier management
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies
Category Management
Develop and manage category strategies across multiple commodities
Analyse market trends and provide recommendations for category optimization
Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement category-specific solutions
Supplier Relationship Management
Develop and manage complex supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts and resolution of issues
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including vendor non-performance and compliance issues
Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement quality and performance improvement plans
Talent Development and Management
Lead and manage a team of sourcing professionals, including training and development, performance management, and career growth opportunities
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the sourcing function
Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including procurement, operations, and finance
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop sourcing strategies
Provide regular updates and reporting on sourcing activities and results
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 20 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
Proven track record of driving business growth and improving supplier performance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyse complex data and develop recommendations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience with contract management and negotiation, including development and implementation of contracts
Leadership experience, with ability to manage and develop a team of sourcing professionals
The preferred candidate must be open to working during night shift, specifically from 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST.
The candidate should possess experience in global procurement, particularly within the US, APAC, and EMEA regions.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Master’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field
Professional certifications, such as CSCP or CPSM
Experience with supplier relationship management tools and software
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in strategic sourcing and supply chain management
Experience with change management and implementation of process improvements
