Factory Design Utilities is an interoperable 2D and 3D factory layout and optimization solution that's used to design and communicate efficient layouts by creating a digital model of your layout. Factory Design enhances AutoCAD and Inventor software with direct-access to layout workflows and factory-specific content. Factory Design allows layout designers to begin their layout process in the desired Inventor 3D parametric environment or the 2D AutoCAD environment they are familiar with. Factory Design supports bidirectional associativity between AutoCAD and Inventor making design workflows accurate and efficient.
We are expanding our presence in Pune, India and are looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer to join our team focused on shaping the future of Factory Design solutions in Autodesk Fusion. Reporting to the Manager of Software Development for Factory Design, you would be someone who is enthusiastic about creating applications targeted at Factory Design and Simulation. You will have experience in software test development for cloud-connected desktop applications.
Responsibilities
Define quality standards and procedures for the team to follow
Develop test strategies and methodologies for comprehensive test coverage and assessment of quality standards
Collaborate with Product Owner and Software Developers to ensure acceptance criteria meet project goals and customer needs
Collaborate with XD and PM team members to ensure that testing adequately validates customer experience
Implement quantitative and qualitative measures to validate met quality standards and identify potential quality risk
Analyse test results to predict user behaviour, identify bugs and suggest solutions to minimise problems
Develop and implement automated tests, including functional test cases that cover integration of components, APIs, and end-to-end workflows
Ensure the final product meets all requirements
Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Minimum Qualifications
BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline
6+ years of Software Development/Automation Development/Testing experience in commercial products or enterprise-level systems with cloud connectivity
Proficiency in unit, functional, smoke, performance, load, security, API, and end-to-end testing
Experience in automation frameworks and tools such as TestComplete / Robot framework/ Cypress/ Selenium/ Playwright/ Cucumber
Strong knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Java, C#, Python, or Visual Basic scripting
Knowledge on CI/CD pipeline like Jenkins
Experience with test management and defect tracking systems such as JIRA, TestRail
Experience articulating complex/peculiar product behaviors in verbal and written form
Proficiency in progressing several priorities in parallel
Excellent debugging skills to solve complex software issues
Familiarity with CAD concepts and Discrete Event Simulation
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum framework
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing Desktop Applications like AutoCAD/Inventor with factory design utilities
Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and data structures.
Experience with Azure or AWS is a plus
Familiarity with Inventor, AutoCAD, Factory Design Utilities, FlexSim
