Senior Software Engineer - Mobile DeveloperOverview:
The InControl for Commercial Payments (ICCP) platform is a fundamental part of Mastercard's Commercial Solutions, enabling some of our largest customers to issue Virtual Cards to securely manage and report on Travel, Expense & Supplier transactions. Focused on secure, highly available and innovative solutions, this dynamic team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base.
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to work with our cross-functional development teams within the Virtual Cards, Spend Controls & Alerts program organization.
Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Liaise with Product development team to plan new features
Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
Suggest and implement new mobile products, applications and protocols
Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices for coding mobile apps
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Supporting the entire application lifecycle from concept to design, testing, release, and support
Work closely with colleagues to constantly innovate app functionality and design
Use and adapt existing web applications for apps
Collaborate with other mobile app engineers within the team to deliver the best solutions.
All About You
Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
5+ years of demonstrable experience
Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market
Extensive knowledge of at least one programming language like Swift and Java
Perform periodic testing and improve the usability of the mobile app
Build the design interface as per the client’s needs
Fix bugs and other performance issues as an iOS and Android mobile developer
Familiarity with OOP design principles
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git, Bitbucket
Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to interpret and follow technical plans
Collaborate with other junior mobile app developers, back-end and front-end developers and designers through the lifecycle of the app
