Job Description

Summary:

As a Software Engineer, you will design complex software programs for software enhancements and new products.

You have both deep and wide background in developing complex information systems spanning from Edge to Cloud. You will work on different aspects of the development of data platform deliverables including piloting, platform development and, implementation oversight and mentoring efforts. A Software Engineer will individually of higher complexity.

 You will be part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager and is located in Pune

• Independently gathers and documents requirements for a feature and its components, ensuring the information required to develop software and corresponding test cases are contained in the specifications.
• Contributes to architectural design and independently develops system designs that meet the requirements.  Provide estimates for the design. Consider tradeoffs between requirements, speed, cost and reliability in the choice of a design approach.
• Implements and documents code that meets the requirements of the software design.
• Leads reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
• Typically, responsible for the ongoing maintenance and integrity of several software subsystems.
• Builds relationships and works with peers to ensure assigned tasks are prioritised.
• Thinks outside the box and is willing to research and explore new avenues to by using the latest technologies and standards.  May function as a go-to person for a technology, software methodology, or other area of expertise.
• Takes the lead on identifying and recommending software development capability improvements in software development practices and development tools
• Communicates and conveys design concepts, both verbally and in writing.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any other Engineering, with concentration in software; or equivalent knowledge in software engineering (software requirements analysis, software design, software testing).
• Minimum 6 and above years of experience.      
• Experience working on Cloud first applications
• Knowledge and working experience in client-server, distributed or web-based environment using .NET frameworks
• Worked on Angular latest version from UI development prospective
• Experience in C#
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Knative, and Kubernetes Operator development
• Experience with Maven/Gradle and Artifact / Dependency Management solutions
• Experience in developing Microservices
• Experience with REST, GraphQL and gRPC based APIs
• Experience with Agile methodologies, like Scrum, SAFe

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

Knowledge of main differences between most popular cloud provider solutions and cloud orchestration tools (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)

Experience with Messaging/Broker technologies such as Kafka, MQTT, Azure IoT Hub

Experience with Domain Driven Design, Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development.

Domain expertise of cloud infrastructure compute, network and storage and the cloud ontrol plane

·       Knowledge of virtualization, containers, service-mesh and enterprise service business

·       Experience with Industrial Automation applications is considered a plus
