We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with solid experience in supporting technology for Investment Management/Research teams. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Investment Management/Research platform, ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work closely with development teams and stakeholders to resolve production issues swiftly. The ideal candidate will also have DevOps experience, contributing to continuous integration, deployment, and automation processes to ensure efficient platform operations#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL
Monitor platform performance and stability, ensuring high availability of the Investment Research Platform.
Identify, triage, and troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner.
Serve as the first line of defense in responding to production incidents and outages.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the underlying cause of issues and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and other teams to resolve incidents/issues.
Provide technical support for end-users, including internal stakeholders and clients.
Ensure platform is functioning optimally, including data ingestion pipelines, analytics engines, and reporting services.
Manage platform upgrades, patch upgrades, and releases in coordination with development and DevOps teams
Ensure the data integrity of market data, research reports, and analytics provided by the platform.
Contribute to the automation of support tasks such as monitoring, incident resolution, and system deployment.
Continuously identify areas for process improvement to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the support team.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment cycles.
Assist with provisioning, managing, and optimizing cloud resources (AWS) to support platform scalability, cost optimization, and high availability.
Work with monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to ensure the platform is well-monitored for system health, performance, and availability, setting up alerts to preemptively address issues.
Maintain detailed documentation of known issues, solutions, and best practices.
Provide periodic updates to management on the status of ongoing issues and platform health.
Provide on-call support during weekends, evenings, and holidays on a rotating basis.
8-10 years of strong production support/troubleshooting experience of complex systems in a fast-faced environment
Must have experience with Investment research platforms or financial technology solutions.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and knowledge of data pipelines.
Experience with AWS cloud and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow automation and orchestration.
Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus or Splunk
Experience working with React is a big plus.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Gitlab, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins) and version control systems (GIT).
Familiarity with RESTful web services, gRPC is a plus.
Strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Agile development and DevOps frameworks.
String written and verbal communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to document and explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work quickly in a dynamic environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Highly motivated and able to work independently.
Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
