What you will do


At Johnson Controls Global Marine & Navy, we are a dynamic global team committed to delivering state-of-the-art HVAC & Fire solutions to a diverse clientele across the Naval & Commercial domain. We operate with a robust global presence, supported by dedicated teams located in 10 strategic sites worldwide.


  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Drive B2B sales of our HVAC & R & Fire solutions, with a primary focus on the Naval sector. Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with company goals.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Naval new build sector. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to position our offerings strategically. Foster long-term partnerships with key stakeholders and industry leaders.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, end users, and influencers. Visit clients to understand their specific needs and requirements, ensuring our solutions align perfectly with their projects.
  • Technical Specification and Project Oversight: Oversee the development of project specifications, quotes, and budgets. Ensure all technical documentation is accurate and meets client needs. Follow through on projects from initiation to completion, guaranteeing client satisfaction and project success.
  • CRM and Pipeline Management: Keep a meticulous record of sales activities and client interactions within our CRM system (Salesforce). Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide regular updates during team meetings.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the lead sales executive & support team to ensure a cohesive approach to client management and project delivery.
  • Market Insight: Regularly gather and report insights on industry developments, customer feedback, and technological advancements to guide future business strategies.

We are seeking a self-motivated professional who excels both as an individual and within a team. You should possess:


  • Proficient stakeholder analysis skills, with the ability to forge and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • A degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in marine sales, with a specific focus on new build projects within the naval ship industry.
  • Ability to interpret complex designs and technical specifications related to defence sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively converting technical details into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Proven track record of engaging with shipbuilders, designers, and technical teams during the critical phases of new ship constructions.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with additional languages being a plus due to the international scope of the role.
