We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to join our Emerging Market Equities team. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the research and analysis of companies’ business and financial positions in India. This includes evaluations of cash flow, balance sheets, and income statements, as well as compiling data from multiple sources and developing financial models.
Collaborate with senior research analysts to conduct end-to-end research, analyze equity investment opportunities, and evaluate stocks and sectors.
Participate in interactions with company management, industry experts, and conduct channel checks alongside research analysts.
Assist in the fundamental analysis of publicly listed companies across multiple sectors in India.
Prepare financial statements databases and assist in analyzing pertinent investment information for assigned companies.
Develop detailed financial models, research reports, and actionable insights on assigned coverage companies.
Present analysis and recommendations to the research and investment team, both in written and oral formats, and regularly update the team on any changes to forecasts or recommendations.
Analyze and interpret economic developments, macroeconomic trends, and political factors impacting the assigned coverage.
Stay updated on the global investment climate, market conditions, and economic environment.
Master’s degree in business administration from a top-tier institution. CFA certification or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
1–3 years of research or investment experience, with a strong understanding of the Indian market.
Proficient in fundamental research, quantitative analysis, and financial statement evaluation.
Skilled in building and interpreting financial models.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications and Bloomberg.
