Global capability centres (GCCs) are offshore units of multinational corporations that provide various support services to their parent organizations. GCCs act as strategic business partners and global hubs for open innovation and untapped talent. India is home to about 1430 to 1800 GCCs, out of which nearly 170 are in GCCs in Banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI).
GCCs acts as core technology hubs for their HQ in India, specializing in niche skills around Cloud, AI/ML/NLP, Cybersecurity, Low Code/No Code, Advanced Analytics, Blockchain, IoT, etc. India GCCs are also playing a pivotal role in exploring emerging technologies such as Web 3.0, Digital Twins, Metaverse, etc., for their parent organizations.
