Position Overview:The Senior QA Engineer role at Synechron is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through manual and automated testing specifically focused on ETL and Business Intelligence (BI) reports. The individual should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve software defects effectively.Overall Responsibilities:Conduct manual and automated testing for ETL processes and BI reports to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for software applications.Develop and maintain automated test scripts using various tools and frameworks.Analyze and report defects in software applications, ensuring timely resolution.Participate in Agile development processes and provide feedback on software quality.Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies to enhance testing processes.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices.Experience in automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP, etc.).Ability to design and execute test cases effectively.Good problem-solving and analytical skills.Knowledge of Agile methodologies.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing and automation.Proven experience in both manual and automated testing.Good knowledge of software testing tools and methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience:Total experience of 8+ years in software testing, with a focus on ETL processes and BI reporting.Day-to-Day Activities:Design and execute test cases for software applications, focusing on ETL processes and BI reports.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.Develop and maintain automated test scripts using various testing tools.Analyze and report defects in software applications promptly.Participate in Agile development processes and provide constructive feedback on software quality.Stay current with the latest testing tools, technologies, and best practices.Soft Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Proactive problem-solving and analytical thinking to identify and resolve software defects.Ability to work well in an Agile environment and provide valuable feedback on software quality.Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively report defects and communicate with stakeholders.SYNECHRON’S DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT Diversity & Inclusion are fundamental to our culture, and Synechron is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
