You will own the quality and performance of Manga services and features on Amazon JP website across all web and mobile apps. A successful candidate will have an established background in testing customer-facing experiences as well as backend services, a strong technical ability, mentoring, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- You will own and deliver new feature experiments from inception to delivery and beyond. You will launch those that deliver customer value and fail fast if it doesn't.
- You are responsible for the testing and improving the architecture of software solutions. You will innovate on testing frameworks, look for ways to maximize reuse of existing services, and delivering beautiful, highly performant and secure customer experiences.
- You will work with cross-functional, geographically diverse development teams through design, delivery and support.
- You will own quality of Customer facing features by creating Test Plan, Test Strategy, Test Automation
Key job responsibilities
- Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against schedules
- Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess product quality
- Champion the quality of features in our development pipeline using both automated and manual tests, reporting and verifying defects, and signing-off on features and release candidates
- Drive quality initiatives and point out areas that require attention
- Evaluating and integrate open source and in house developed tool-sets
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
- Work with developers to identify the root cause and resolve issues.
- Automate the validation of user interfaces.

- Write test plans, test strategies, test cases

- Identifying, reporting, verification of customer impacting issues
- Coordinating with Product, Dev, QA, QSA teams
- 8+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- 5+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience scripting or coding
- 3+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
- Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C
