LSEG delivers truly world-changing insight based on rich content sources. Within this insight lies our Fixed Income, Currencies and Convertibles ("FICC") technology group, which administers, calculates, and distributes benchmark across multiple asset classes across global jurisdictions.
 


Working closely with business proposition leaders, product managers, architects, and other software development teams, this is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering. The team you work with support applications that generate regulated benchmarks, which includes foreign exchange, interest rate and regulated index benchmarks and requires high degrees of automated testing to support any change on the impacted systems.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test cases based on functional specifications, requirements, and user stories.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Define and execute both functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
  • Identify defects and issues during the testing phase and ensure they are tracked, reported, and resolved efficiently.
  • Perform system integration, regression, performance, penetration and stress testing to ensure the product functions as expected under different conditions.
  • Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the company’s quality control processes and procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve product quality through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Implement and monitor metrics for measuring quality performance and provide feedback for process improvements.
  • Ensure that products meet relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Prepare and present detailed quality reports, test summaries, and data-driven insights for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Support the development and release of products by providing quality insights and participating in the review of design and development processes.
  • Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on quality assurance processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support during product development, troubleshooting quality issues, and suggesting improvements.

Requirements


  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior QA Engineer with project experience leading the implementation of complex software deliverables.
  • Experience working in Agile SDLC to deliver iterative value to business. Experience with Test Driven Development and / or Behavior Driven Development.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns with solid technical background and understanding of programming styles, frameworks, and different software testing scenarios.
  • Skill for writing clean, readable code and reusable components while being able to communication the implementation of those components to both technology and business/production teams.

Technical Skills


  • Proven Experience as a Senior QA Engineer, with 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, and test automation.
  • Strong Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, performance testing, penetration testing etc.).
  • Proficiency with test management tools such as like Jenkins, DXOne, IntelliJ IDEA, Testrail, DBeaver, MS-SQL etc.
  • Source Repositories (GIT) and associated pipeline development (Jenkins/Gitlab).
  • Experience with different test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, Shell scripting) for creating automated tests.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using different CI/CD tools
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis of defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team, mentor QA engineers, and communicate complex issues clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and the ability to work with multiple teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex and legacy software systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Nice-to-haves


  • Financial markets/banking experience and/or experience dealing with regulated products.
  • Experience with Software test designing and architecting solutions in Cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance managements.
  • Very good understanding of Devops and SRE skills.
