Your Role and Responsibilities
Creating Automation frameworks and automating testcases.
Testing all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression and service
Work with the development team to identify and capture test cases, and ensure version management
Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases
Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people in developemnt
Build the Test Automation suite using industry standard Automation tools/technologies.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Automation Testing
Ability to use a wide variety of open source automation technologies and tools
Experienced in Install, deploy and associated automation with middleware- Appservers like Tomcat/JBoss and databases like Oracle/MySQL
Strong at system administration especially Linux, with the passion for scripting, coding and automation.
Working Knowledge of Automation tools and frameworks including JMeter, QTPro, Selenium and Cucumber
Working knowledge of using virtual machine environments
An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
Demonstrated Analytical skills and decision-making ability, attention to details and a strong test aptitude
Ability to work in a team as well as an individual contributor
Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience using Atlassian JIRA
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
