Turner & Townsend are looking for Senior Project Manager to join our award winning, for Mumbai cost centre, growing project management team working within Turner & Townsend's Pune team.

Main Purpose Of Role
To lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects
To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards
Scope
Senior Project Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, depending upon the complexity of the project, etc. Typically, projects fall within the Rs1cr to Rs10cr range. However, where the service provided is advisory in nature, for example advising on urban re-generation funding, the overall project size may be much larger
Project management, to include:
Lead the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
Make sure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed
Plan for and the ongoing management of quality, safety, health and environment issues
Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project
Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan
Advise on the procurement of resources
Lead and facilitate the overall cross-functional project team
Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance
Position Description
Manage the change control process
Monitor and advise upon project finances
Manage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
Produce formal project progress and other reports
Take a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
Marketing and business development, to include:
Assist Senior Management team in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients
Work with Area Managers, Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new work
Attend formal client interviews with Assistant Directors and Directors if required
Make sure that project case study, photograph and project CV files are kept up to date
Identify and act upon opportunities to improve project management products and services
Internal management accountabilities, to include:
Staff management (where appropriate) – Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager or small project management team, to include 1st round recruitment interviews, input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals
Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilising FMS in order to monitor a project’s financial status
Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes
Reporting
Depending upon context, a Senior Project Manager is likely to report to an Associate Director or Director

Education - B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Arch – Civil
Post Graduate Qualification in relevant field would be an added advantage.
You should have relevant experience of working for a construction consultancy in India, be degree educated in a relevant construction subject and have good technical skills.
A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review
8 - 10 years of post-qualification experience in similar role.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
