The Role
As a Senior Project Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- Project Management: Lead and manage offshore projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding project requirements and ensuring their expectations are met.
- Technical Leadership: Oversee the technical aspects of offshore engineering projects, providing guidance and support to project teams and other stakeholders.
- Engineering Design & Development: Coordinate and review design engineering, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations for offshore platforms, structures, and systems.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation plans, and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, designers, and other technical personnel, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Site Management: Coordinate offshore site activities, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with project goals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all offshore activities are compliant with relevant local and international regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting milestones, challenges, and progress.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related fields).
- Minimum of 18 years of relevant experience in offshore project management, with a strong focus on engineering, execution, and delivery.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale offshore projects (oil and gas, renewable energy, etc.).
- In-depth understanding of offshore engineering, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and subsea systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with project management software, risk management tools, and scheduling techniques.
- Expertise in managing project budgets, procurement processes, and contract negotiations.
- Thorough knowledge of safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Willingness to travel offshore as required.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.
- Familiarity with international offshore standards (e.g., ISO, API, DNV, ABS).
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) would be advantageous.
